What is your wedding photography style?
My wedding style is artistic documentary. This means I will capture you laughing, crying, loving and enjoying your day (I will probably also laugh, cry and love your day too!)
I want you to remember your wedding as a day of fun, details, and love. 95% of your wedding will be captured as it happens with the other 5% being used for family posing during formals.
The couples I work with are easy going and fun. They value their wedding photography greatly and their main goal is to enjoy their day to the maximum without any photography compromise. They want someone who will be unobtrusive and who will document their day artistically but without any posing pressure. You choose me to be there to capture images that will be loved and valued way after I am gone. I thrive in documenting those who attended to celebrate with you, the details of your hard work, and the love that united you. At the end of the day my goal is to have presented the story of your day for you both and those afar.
When you look through my work, please note my style candid and involves a lot of shadows + dark/light mood. If you are looking for the bright colored, evenly light wedding photography, I may not be the photographer for you. With so much talent in the area, I am sure your search will take you to the photographer who will document your day within your vision.
What do you include in your packages?
All my collections include high resolution images. Some of my collections also include an engagement session. This session allow us to become comfortable with each other and it is also a great way to have images to share before becoming husband and wife.
How much do you cost?
I believe in custom collections and have created an easy way for you to include what you want and need within your budget. Just as your wedding will be unique, you will create your unique coverage. My couples fit all their needs (coverage, album, products and add-ons) within their budget during their custom collection process or choose one of my three set collections which start at $2000. Small backyard or beach house weddings with a smaller budget also receive their custom collection.
As a gift, all couples getting married in venues I am a preferred vendor, receive an additional $150 Print Credit to use on products or album upgrades.
So although I could tell you a set pricing, it is my goal to work with my couples depending on the needs of their day and vision.
What kind of weddings do you do?
I document from Intimate Weddings|Elopements up to 200 guests celebrations. I understand not everybody can afford or really want a big wedding and therefore we will meet and talk wedding details to see what custom collection works best for you.
Do you do LGBTQIA weddings?
Umm, why not?
How many images do we get?
The amount of images you receive vary depending on many factors including how many hours of coverage, the flow of the day and the amount of craziness going on. I don't limit your images. I document and capture the day as it goes.
Do you edit all pictures?
All selected images include simple editing. This means white balance and such are reviewed. However, the images will not be manipulated. Of course, if you were stressed, I may take that pimple out of your couple's portraits but I stay away from the "make me skinny", "change my hair color", kind of work. My style is candid, as is, because you and your love are perfect. Your love for each other makes you so.
Do you shoot digital or film? Do you shoot in black and white?
I shoot in digital format. I do love black and white and will convert images that look best in black and white.
When do we get our images?
A couple of days after your wedding there will be a Sneak Peek posted in social media.
By the twoweek' versary (did you notice what I did there?), you will then view your proof gallery as I edit them. Since I divide your day in categories called "Details", "Pre-Ceremony", "Ceremony", etc, you will receive one or two categories to view. This continues throughout until we are done with all. This makes the experience more pleasant as you don't have to browse 100's and 100's of images at one time.
Think of it as crumbs of goodness instead of an overwhelming giant bagel or according to my 12 year old son and editor helper, like a "legit trailer before an even better movie".
Once all your proofs have been reviewed by you and your love, I will deliver final tangible products within 12 weeks.
What kind of equipment do you use?
I am a Canon girl. I carry 2 professional dSLR bodies with L series lenses and way too much equipment for my own good!
Are you a registered business and have business insurance?
Yes and of course.
How do you deliver our images?
Delivery of images are done in a flash drive. You can also opt to have them in a personalized flash drive. Small a la carte wedding receive a non-personalized flash drive or a link download.
Do you bring a second shooter to the wedding?
I am my business. Most of my weddings are done by me only. If this is a concern to you, I'd be happy to share a full gallery for you to see what I can accomplish working as a sole photographer. I do have an assistant who shoots occasionally throughout the day but mostly so she doesn't get bored.
You may add a second professional photographer to any of my collections for an extra fee or it can be part of your vision while we build your custom collection. Any 9+ hours wedding include a second professional photographer for at least 6 hours.
Do we get the RAW files?
No. You will get High Resolution edited images with a Personal Print Release. This mean you may print them at your favorite lab. The RAW files are not available for purchase or viewing.
Do you book more than one wedding a weekend?
I used to not do more than one wedding a week but I have been extremely blessed with couples wanting me to document their day and will do more than one wedding a weekend depending on the timeline. I will not do a wedding until 2am and the next day one at 8am. I'm too old for that! Not really, I'm more out of shape for that!
I do not schedule more than one large wedding a weekend and never another session on the wedding day, so make sure to book your date with time.
Do you have a coverage time limit?
Yes. I don't usually do wedding coverage longer than 10 hours. My family enjoys seeing me so once they are tired of me, I will do a 12+ hours coverage. 12 hour coverage are limited to two a year. Friday weddings are also limited to four weddings a year and only with at least one month in between.
By choice my wedding season starts the the first week of March and ends the second week of November. Although I do weddings from December to February, they are purposely reserved for small weddings.
Will our images be available online?
Absolutely. You receive your personal gallery with all your images edited as proof. They will be divided as chapters of your day for you to share with family and friends. These images will be stored for 1 year. Gallery is open for viewing online and ordering for 3 months.
Do you offer wedding albums or products?
Yes! I do not believe your beautiful photographs should stay in your computer, it's dangerous. Please do not do this with your memories. I offer a variety of albums, prints, canvas, and more for you to choose and add to your Collection (Custom or otherwise).
How does the album process works?
After you have approved all your proofs, we will start album designing. You will choose your favorite images and I will design it for you. You will then review it and make changes as needed online via my album proofing website. Your album then will be delivered within 12 weeks.
Where can I see more of your work?
How do we book?
After our initial Wedding Consultation, you will receive a proposal with any custom collections we spoke about. From there you will choose your collection, sign contract and pay your retainer.
I would love to consult more! How can I contact you?
I love meeting couples! You may schedule a free wedding consultation via Skype or in person by using my contact form below. I am much more interesting in person so please set aside a good 1-2 hours. We'll talk wedding details, get to know each other over your favorite drink and see if we are a match made in Photography heaven.
